The United States is weighing the deployment of its advanced Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system in Israel. The move comes in response to escalating tensions following Iran’s recent missile strikes, which have hit key strategic locations inside Israel. The $3 billion THAAD system intercepts ballistic missiles and would greatly strengthen Israel’s defense capabilities, which already include the Iron Dome and Arrow systems.
