The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has issued a clear ultimatum to terrorists in the Northwestern region, urging them to surrender or face relentless military firepower. Following a string of successful operations, including airstrikes under Operation Hadarin Daji, the NAF has demonstrated its commitment to eradicating terrorism and banditry in the region.
During recent operations in the Northwest, particularly in the rural areas, NAF and ground forces coordinated to target terrorist hideouts. The Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information of NAF stated that over 28 terrorists have been neutralized in the latest operations, with the military recovering weapons, motorcycles, and other equipment used by the terrorists in their operations. This has led to the military intensifying its campaign and reiterating its no-negotiation stance.
Military Intensifies Campaign in Northwest
NAF has repeatedly emphasized that there will be no negotiation with terrorists, warning them to either surrender or face annihilation. Military commanders, including Major General Godwin Mutkut, assured the public that the ongoing operations would continue to clear all terrorist strongholds. He noted that the militants, who had been wreaking havoc on civilian communities, now face heavy losses as the military’s air and ground forces tighten their grip on the region.
Major operations have taken place in multiple villages, dislodging armed groups and rescuing civilians trapped in conflict zones. The military’s swift and aggressive response has restored a measure of confidence among local communities, who had been under siege by bandits for months.

In light of the terrorists’ increasing desperation, NAF stressed that surrender remains their only option for survival. The military refuses to negotiate with these criminal elements, focusing instead on decisive action to dismantle their networks. Security forces have also urged local communities to continue sharing timely intelligence, which remains crucial for the success of ongoing operations.
