During a visit to Nigeria’s Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Namibia’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Humphrey Geiseb, officially requested help. He emphasized the need for collaboration in training Namibian anti-corruption officials and learning from Nigeria’s experience in fighting corruption. Geiseb acknowledged Nigeria’s prominent role in Africa’s anti-corruption efforts and expressed hope that Namibia could benefit from Nigeria’s expertise, particularly in asset recovery and anti-graft measures.

Aliyu highlighted the role of Nigeria’s Anti-Corruption Academy, which has trained officials from various African countries, and assured Namibia that the academy would provide the necessary training for Namibian anti-graft officers.
