A trailer crash claimed six lives at around 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2024, in the Second Rainbow area of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Lagos State. The trailer, reportedly experiencing brake failure, lost control and crashed into a car and a commercial bus. Witnesses reported that the impact was severe, instantly killing at least six people, while several others sustained injuries.
As the trailer sped out of control, it crashed into the car and bus, both filled with passengers. Immediately afterward, local residents and bystanders jumped into action, attempting to assist the victims trapped in the wreckage. Eyewitnesses at the scene described the incident as horrifying. One witness mentioned, “The trailer lost its brakes and hit the vehicles at full force. It was devastating, and bodies were immediately scattered on the road.”
